Breakers Complete Another Successful League Season

4 Teams Medal and U19 Blue Crowned as League Champs

We are proud of all of our Breakers teams and players for their commitment and effort throughout the recently completed Fall 2006 Coast Soccer League Season.  We do want to recognize some significant accomplishments by some of the Breaker teams this season.

First,  we acknowledge our U19 Blue team for winning their Silver Elite North league championship.  Congratulations Ladies!   In addition, three other Breakers teams will collect league medals as the runner up team in their brackets and they are the U11 team (2nd Place Silver North), the U12 team (2nd Place Silver North) and our U19 White team (2nd Place Gold).  In league cup competition, 8 of our 15 teams won their league cup pools and 5 of those teams advanced to the sweet 16 round.  Here are a list of some of the highlights of our Fall league season:

  • U19 Blue       1st Place Silver Elite North Division
  • U19 White     2nd Place Gold Division
  • U12               2nd Place Silver North Division
  • U11               2nd Place Silver North Division
  • U19 Blue, U19 Navy and U19 White all won their league cup pools, won their round of 32 match ups and then all three were eliminated in the sweet 16 round although both the U19 Blue and Navy teams lost in penalty kick shoot outs after tieing.
  • U16 White won their pool, won their round of 32 game and then lost in the round of 16 to a the West Coast premier division team.
  • U14 White won their pool and advance to a second round of pool play where they beat another silver team 4-1 before losing 5-1 to the 1st place Gold team (the top team in the top division in the age bracket).
  • U11, U12 and U13 white all won their respective league cup pools and advanced to a second round of pool play.  The U12 advanced again in the second round of pool play by beating and tieing two silver elite level teams.  The advanced to the sweet 16.

Three teams will almost certainly be promoted next season.  They are the U19 Blue (Silver Elite to Gold) and U11 (Silver to Silver Elite) and U10 (Bronze to Silver).   Three other teams are in a position where they could possibly be promoted and they are the U12 (Silver to Silver Elite) and U14 White (Silver to Silver Elite) and U9 (Bronze to Silver) teams.

Congratulations to all of our players on another highly successful Fall league season and best of luck to all of our older players during your high school soccer season!
